Something not working, or an idea for Otis? In the app, go to Today ▸ Settings ▸ Feedback ▸ Email us a problem or idea, or email [email protected]. We read everything and usually reply within a couple of working days.
If a document was read wrongly, tell us what kind of document it was and which detail was wrong. Please don't send the document itself or anything personal from it.
Common questions
Otis read a date or price wrongly
Tap the document, then Edit. Change the detail by typing over it, or use Pick on page to tap the right words on the document. You can also change the renewal date straight from the document's page.
I'm not getting reminders
Check Settings ▸ Notifications ▸ Otis on your iPhone and make sure notifications are allowed. Reminders arrive at 9am, and only for documents with a date. A document's page shows when its reminders are due.
What does Mark done do?
Things that renew every year, like insurance or an MOT, move on to next year's date. Contracts and ID wait for you to add the new one. You can always change the date yourself.
Can I lock Otis?
Yes. Go to Today ▸ Settings and turn on Lock with Face ID (or Touch ID or your passcode). Otis offers this when you save a passport or licence.
Do I need Apple Intelligence?
No. Apple Intelligence makes reading and answering smarter, but everything works without it.
Where are my documents?
On your device, encrypted while it's locked. There's no Otis account or sync, and we never receive your documents. Like other apps, Otis is included in your iPhone's own backup (to iCloud or your computer), so restoring a backup brings them back; deleting Otis removes them from the device. See the privacy policy for everything Otis does and doesn't share.
How do I delete my data?
Delete a document in the app (swipe it, or press and hold it), or delete Otis to remove everything. To stop sending anonymous usage data, turn off Settings ▸ Share usage data.
What does it cost?
Otis is free while it's new. Ask Otis and Money are in beta and free for now, and they'll likely become part of Otis Pro later.
